Overview
By 1906, however, Stanley had changed the No. 97 adjustment knob to a round, nickel-plated, cast-iron version with the company's name on the face (Figure 2). To eliminate this deficiency, the Model Shop, around 1907, added a one-inch round bolster (Figure 4) on each side of the plane bed of an experimental body.
