Overview

Okay, maybe not that severe, but you get the idea. [...]the burden of ensuring a positive experience falls squarely on the committee members, the convention planning committee, and the OHS management team. Over the decades, well over 200 Patricks and Brandons have graced the halls, churches, auditoriums, and hotels at numerous conventions, mingling with OHS members, asking questions, and making new friencs. Since its inception, this scholarship program has evolved in scope, size, and even in name, but the goal has remained to encourage younger people to embrace the mission of the OHS, remain members, and support its mission. [...]no less important, it aims to offer exposure to historic instruments, demonstrate their value, and instill a love for them that will stand the test of time. Offering someone 30 minutes of your time to get to know someone during the year may not seem possible, but there are endless possibilities for time together at a convention. [...]instead of just one week together, even over multiple years, what if we develop a program that continues to educate and equip our scholars throughout the year?
