Overview
This study is based on some personal problems of students studying at secondary level in residential schools. This study adopted a descriptive survey method to analyze the data collected through a self-constructed questionnaire based on their personal problems like homesickness, adjustment, personal development, and available facilities in the hostels. Self-constructed tool was reliable and validate and got administered on students of secondary level at residential schools of Jaipur and Dausa district of Rajasthan state. Major findings revealed that maximum students miss their home, have unsuitable lodging, facing improper behavior of wardens’ and lacking in personality as well as physical development activities in residential schools. It is recommended that residential schools should create a family environment, exclusively focus on providing suitable and comfortable accommodations, give proper attention towards the ethical roles and behavior of appointed wardens and put sincere efforts for holistic development of students by planning correlated activities in residential schools.
