Overview
In the face of a global pandemic and a host of other issues, communities and individuals have faced disruptions. We are perhaps more aware that engineers are people juggling multiple roles andresponsibilities – community members, parents, and professionals. It is timely to examine our practices related to increasing the diversity of the engineering profession, and the extent to which our work benefits humanity across a spectrum of socioeconomic and cultural dimensions. IJSLE encourages authors to give community partners an opportunity to co-author manuscripts, and to include positionality statements in their papers.
