Overview
RESUMO: Em Blumenau/SC, os primeiros registros da prática do skate aconteceram na década de 1970 e alguns fatos históricos posteriores marcaram a trajetória dos skatistas nesta cidade, sendo um dos mais relevantes a Lei n° 5211, que regulamentava o uso dos skates, bicicletas e similares na cidade, a qual ficou em vigor de 1999 a 2007. O fato é que essa Lei proibia a prática do skate nas vias públicas, impactando diretamente no direito à cidade dos citadinos praticantes dessa atividade. Sendo assim, buscou-se compreender, através de entrevistas, como se efetivou o skate na cidade durante os anos desta Lei e nos anos subsequentes a sua revogação, enfatizando a construção e inauguração da pista de skate no Parque Ramiro Ruediger no ano de 2009.
