Overview
Nd-doped cobalt ferrite nanoparticles with the composition CoNdxFe2-xO4 (x = 0.00 and 0.05) samples were prepared by using citrate-gel auto-combustion method and investigation was carried to evaluate the structural properties, morphological, and dielectric aspects. The XRD analysis validated the existence of a single-phase cubic spinel structure, shows minor difference in the lattice parameters indicating successful incorporation of Nd3+ ions and associated structural distortion. Agglomerated spherical grains within the nanoscale range was observed in the SEM- micrographs. The dielectric constant tends to decrease by increasing frequency is observed, this may attribute that the interfacial effects and Maxwell- Wagner type polarization. Improved dielectric properties at the lower frequency region with rise in Nd3+ doping holds for potential applications in high frequency electronic devices.
