Overview
The regularities of the change in the dynamic viscosity of oligomeric imidazoline oxypropylates in the temperature range of (-10)-(+10)ºC at different rotation frequencies were studied. The analyses were carried out on a REOTEST-2 rotational viscometer according to GOST 1929-87 for oligomeric oxypropylates synthesized at a molar ratio of imidazolines to propylene oxide of 1:5-35. Imidazolines were obtained on the basis of natural petroleum acids and polyethylenepolyamines, as well as triethylenetetramine at their molar ratio of 1:1, respectively. A linear character of the dependence of shear stress on the shear rate was revealed, which defines the studied compositions as Newtonian fluids. Deviations from straightness occur either for compositions with a low propylene oxide content or tested at a comparatively low temperature. Obviously, the consequence of intramolecular and intermolecular bonds is the formation of supramolecular structures, coils, bends, etc. During rotation of the internal cylinder of the device at low shear rates, high stress arises due to the destruction of the above-mentioned bonds and structures, supramolecular formations that increase the friction of individual layers of the system. The influence of different parameters on the rheological properties of the samples was studied. It was revealed that the use of deformation force in an oligomeric system of various compositions under different temperature conditions is not accompanied by irreversible processes such as thickening, the formation of agglomerates, lumps, etc., associated mainly with the destruction of the chemical structure
