Overview
Military officers from India reportedly visit Afghanistan to discuss Military training of Afghan Military officers by Indian officers in an attempt to decrease the dependence of the Afghanistan. Armed Forces on the Soviet Union ; Afghanistan-Iran relations continue to be friendly and Afghan Government officials will travel to Tehran (Iran) to discuss the Afghanistan-Iran Helmand Waters Treaty of 1973 ; Mohammad Daud will gradually remove Government officials who are members of the Parcham (Afghanistan) from the Daud Administration (23 August 1973-27 April 1978) according to the United States Embassy. Afghanistan ; United States Embassy. Afghanistan reports that Afghanistan has requested the continuation of United States presence in Afghanistan and particularly the U.S. Agency for International Development projects in the Helmand Valley ; United States Embassy. Afghanistan reports that [Peace Corps volunteers; Health personnel] have been asked to withdraw from [Hazarajat Region; Jalalabad] and other Rural areas ; Pashtunistan dispute continues between [Pakistan; Afghanistan]
