Overview
[U.S. Air Force. Chief of Staff; U.S. Army. Chief of Staff; U.S. Navy. Chief of Naval Operations] provide the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. Director with Funding for [Aircraft; Ships] required by Defense attaches; [U.S. Army. Chief of Staff; U.S. Navy. Chief of Naval Operations; U.S. Air Force. Chief of Staff] provide the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. Director with [Logistics; Management; Training] support as needed to administer the Defense Attache System; U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. Director develops National security functions for Defense attaches in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defense. Assistant Secretary for International Security Affairs; U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. Director selects Defense attaches from those nominated by the [U.S. Department of the Air Force; U.S. Department of the Army; U.S. Department of the Navy]; U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. Director conducts Negotiations with the U.S. Department of State regarding overseas assignments of Defense attaches and the Management policy of the Defense Attache System; Defense attaches accredited to United States Embassies are selected from among Active duty Military officers serving in the [U.S. Army; U.S. Navy; U.S. Air Force; U.S. Marine Corps]; Defense Attache System mission includes serving U.S. Ambassadors by providing Defense attaches for United States Embassies staffs; Defense Attache System mission and functions include National security responsibilities assigned by the U.S. Department of Defense.
