Overview
The Senate Appropriations Committee approved $250 million in funds on Sept. 18 to support state and local governments’ efforts to strengthen election security. But Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) says Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is dragging his feet on authorizing the funding needed to fortify U.S. elections against foreign threats including Russia.
