Overview
Droog changed everything. From its first exhibition at the furniture fair in Milan in 1993, the ragtag group of Dutch furniture, lighting, graphic, and product designers-- who collaborate under the loose affiliation of what founders Gijs Bakker, a jewelry designer, and Renny Ramakers, a design critic, call \"a brand and a mentality\"-- had begun to undermine the global design scene's steadfast allegiance to new looks and product innovation.
