Overview
In a briefing on March 8, Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said the Department of Defense would undertake an “emergency mission” alongside partner countries to establish a temporary pier off Gaza's coastline to deliver humanitarian aid. The plan would take up to 60 days to execute, he said, and could provide up to two million meals daily for Palestinians.
