Overview
\"I would rather wear out than rust out,'' [John Rogers] said. \"There was a need in our community for some leadership at the local level, and I decided to run for city commission. As far as basketball, I'm just passionate about the game.'' \"We had worked plane crashes before, but I've never taken one out of a house before. That was a first,'' Rogers said. \"We had to lift that motor off of that pilot. He was pinned, and we had to get that body out. That was kind of tough, thinking this man was en route to fly home. One minute he's here, and the next minute he's like a vapor and he's gone. Sure, it's a little tough.'' \"At the time I was new to the area and I needed someone on my staff whom I felt like I could trust, that I could work with and knew the community,'' [Gary McDaniel] said. \"John loves the sport. He loves the game, and that's always shown in every way. His love for the game is probably what drove him to want to be a part of the game.''
