Overview
Michael Pavia and Andrew Schmittat, both in Grade 8, and part of Upsilon PACE Invaders exhibited impressive building and programming skills through their robot, dubbed \"Steve\". Steve was capable of picking up, depositing, and slinging balls with a high degree of accuracy, and, unlike a previous model, was able to achieve higher speeds. \"It takes a lot of time, but it's worth it,\" said Branko, member of Gamma-Pi, \"very much so.\" Team Gamma-Pi, grade 11 and 12 students from PACE Academy in Oak Ridges, is made up of [Hayden Jones] (from left), [Noah Ahmadi], Branko Mostic and [Ben Giller], who will be heading to California next week to compete in the world high school robotics championships.
