\"A lot of the younger boys just don't make up the diverse size of players you need to make up a team,\" [Byron Barton] said. \"I don't know why there's no interest from the older boys ... I can't speak on behalf of students.\" \"Every high school should have a hockey team along with a football team, basketball team and other kinds of teams,\" she said. \"Once it's gone, will it come back is the question. High school hockey has been in Sussex for many years, it's sad that there won't be any this year.\" \"Hopefully we'll be able to make a team next year. Hopefully this isn't something that will last but we'll just have to play it by the season. If the interest is there next year, then we'll have a season but if not then who knows what will happen,\" Barton said.
