Unfortunately that's not when you see a lot of funding on childhood programs.\" \"We've had a lot of people come around to early childhood education in the past year,\" Theall said. \"It's really exciting.\" [Regina Calcaterra] wrote \"Etched in Sand,\" a memoir of her childhood with an abusive mother, and how she and her four siblings got through it and the foster care system. She grew up to become an attorney working for the state of New York. Her memoir spent 16 weeks on the New York Times Bestsellers List.
