Overview
\"Before it opened, I went door-to-door begging for money to open it,\" she said. \"(Northern) Anne Arundel County needed a medical facility. We had to go to Annapolis or to Baltimore. We worked hard to get a hospital here.\" Booth's late husband, Raymond W. Booth, was also a hospital volunteer. He served on its board of directors in 1990. Together they had two children, one of whom lives in Catonsville. Booth delights in her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. \"We never thought of, nor counted the hours we put into getting the hospital open and helping out afterwards,\" she said. \"It was all for the community.\"
