Overview
The first tallies for 48 out of 125 precincts showed Marchalk with 4,574 votes to [Brett M. Clark]'s 4,399 votes at 9:10 p.m. The second update at 9:44 p.m. with 110 precincts tallied showed Marchalk having widened her lead with 11,011 votes over Clark's 8,877 votes. The third and final update was released by the Schuylkill County Election Bureau at 10:39 p.m. \"I am honored and blessed to be able to serve this county as the next treasurer,\" Marchalk said. \"I have worked hard and given it my all to win this race and the hard work has paid off for me. I want to thank my family, my friends, my team of Republicans who have helped me and guided me through this campaign because I certainly could not have done it on my own. It's a big county.\" \"This is definitely not the last time you're going to see me running for something, that's for certain,\" Clark said. \"My uncle, Judge Joe McCloskey, didn't win on his first election, and neither did Tim Holden's father on his first, and look what they did with their careers. So, I feel confident that there are only good things in my future, and I hope the county sees that as well and get the right people in the positions.\"
