Overview
Restaurateur DuVall and partner and executive chef Joe Kohn, who own Izzy's Steak & Chop House in San Francisco and San Carlos, couldn't have timed the opening any better, given the warming political relations between nations and President Barack Obama's recent state visit. Tierra Frita ($9), a vegetarian take on frito misto, included hearts of palm, crunchy fennel, strips of onion and snappy green beans.
