Overview
Pasty Jean was born on Oct. 28, 1931, in Stanley, to Charles and Valesta (Meier) [Hynek]. She was raised and attended school in Stanley, and attended college at Minot State where she met Raymond J. Bohn. She and Ray married on Oct. 14, 1950, in Minot. They lived in Minot and moved to Bismarck in 1962. After raising her seven children, Pat opened a jewelry store in Bismarck which she owned and operated for 10 years. During that time she also served as a civilian aid to the Secretary of the Navy and was on the Board for the American Red Cross. She was an avid bridge player who never liked to lose, a trait which she happily passed onto her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
