Crofton begins 40th anniversary celebration

Overview
Crofton kicked off its yearlong celebration of the town's 40th anniversary this month. Crofton residents can look forward to the Crofton Athletic Council's sports carnival, a Kiwanis Club 10K race, the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department crab feast and the Crofton Meadows Homeowners Association fishing tournament, to name a few. The popular biannual arts and crafts fair sponsored by the Crofton Town Club will be held in April and September. In addition to the regular offerings by local and regional artisans, the CCA will sell the \"Crofton Cooks\" cookbook, a collection of recipes contributed by Crofton residents. There will also be a raffle for a commemorative gold and ruby crab pendant donated by Carlynda Jewelers.
