Overview
[Bernard Cave-Browne-Cave] hired [John Craig Cooper]'s fledgling firm to run fund- raising campaigns both for Big Brothers and for KIDS, which he began running full-time this spring after leaving Big Brothers. Charitable Fund Raisers has since had its licence suspended by the City of Calgary's charity campaign approving authority, amid allegations as much as $493,000 in public solicitations have not been accounted for by Cooper. [Robert Bakker] said he found it ironic that in the wake of Charitable Fund Raisers' licence suspension, his firm has since been approached by Cave-Browne-Cave to do fund-raising for KIDS - which wants to open a children's services administrative centre and a youth centre in a converted downtown block.
