Overview
Slane, Rev. Dr. Forrest R. Forrest R. Slane, age 74, died at home on Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, after a long and difficult struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 7, 1927, the son of Roy and Neva (nee Butler) Slane. The Rev. Dr. Forrest Slane leaves behind a beloved wife Patricia (nee Powers), his sons Mark (Joan), Paul, Ted and daughter Patricia (Brent) Navis. He is further survived by his wonderful grandsons, his two brothers Dr. Robert (Ruth) Slane, of Florida, and Darrell (Donna) Slane, of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Neal and sister Mary Jayne. He also leaves behind other relatives and many friends. Dr. Slane came to Milwaukee to pastor the First Alliance Church after his theological studies in the early 1950's.
