The 1 p.m. fire, near the Northboro border, was brought under control in about three hours, with assistance from Northboro firefighters, Shrewsbury Fire Capt. Gerald LaFlamme said. Juan M. Meza, 61, of 19 Princeton Road, Leominster, was conscious when rescuers arrived. He apparently was suffering from internal injuries, according to Deputy Fire Chief Alfred LeBlanc. Meza was listed in fair condition at the University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester last night, according to a nursing supervisor.
