Overview
Comcast delayed its billing cycle and then sent out statements giving customers credit in advance for \"every day we anticipated they would be out,\" said Comcast area Vice President Rod Dagenais. If customers feel they should have received a larger credit to reflect their cable-less days, they should call Comcast, he said. About 14,000 Comcast Cable customers in Charlotte were still without service Wednesday, primarily in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, Dagenais said. That tally includes homes that have been destroyed or are too badly damaged to receive cable. The generators ran into some problems of their own, though, when some were stolen and others shut off by nearby residents who might not have liked the constant humming, Dagenais said. In addition to the power issues, a downed line has kept about 250 Comcast Cable customers out of service.
