Overview
As with the previous productions (the last was in 1997), what works best are the harmonies of the four singers -- Sophia Hinshelwood, Joel Newsome, Kim Reed and Jim Weaver -- as arranged by Jim Prosser and musical director/accompanist Michael Sebastian. Of course, there's that beautifully packaged assortment of songs from \"The Wizard of Oz,\" which features his most famous songs, paired with [Harburg]'s words. There's a humorous intelligence to the arrangements that makes it a pleasure to hear even the most overly familiar songs.
