Overview
Today, for [Kerry Hill]'s practice - which also involves a team of seven in Perth, designing projects in Australia, Southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Taiwan, Dubai, Turkey and Bhutan - is working on the need to find what he describes as \"the felt structure of reality\". As a young architect, Hill worked for three years with the Perth- based architectural firm of Howlett and Bailey (after being one of the first eight graduates to complete an architectural degree at the University of Western Australia in 1968) before applying to various companies in the United States. Looking back, Hill, who lists Louis Kahn as his architectural role model, says he found Asia to be such fertile ground for the birth of his creations that he set up his own practice in Singapore in 1979.
