IJM Corp Bhd, which stands as one of the largest foreign infrastructure groups in India with RM2 billion jobs in hand, is bidding for RM1 billion worth of projects in India, half of which are for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. Maxis, which has more subscribers in India than in Malaysia, plans to invest between US$4 to US$5 billion (RM14.48 billion to RM18.1 billion) in 2009-2010, while TM International also has a growing footprint in India's lucrative mobile phone industry, with plans to invest US$1.8 billion (RM6.52 billion) this year. Others include Indian entertainment company Adlab's controlling stake in Lotus Five Star, Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation's plans to set up institutions in Iskandar Malaysia and the Embassy Group of India's tie-up with Emkay Group of Companies of Malaysia.
