Overview
The source of campaign dollars has become an issue in the race between Republican Mike Fisher and Democrat Joe Kohn as each candidate calls his opponent's money dirty. The campaigns are scheduled to report contributions on Tuesday. Fisher campaign manager Jerry Pappert said he expects to report a cash balance of more than $1 million. Kohn spokesman Steve Caplan declined to say how much the campaign would report, except to say Kohn would be \"competitive.\" Officer Patrick Crowell, a police spokesman, said investigators did not know whether the gunmen, who quickly left the scene, were attempting to rob the victim or had a different motive. Crowell said police also did not know what the relationship between the victim and children was.
