Overview
The Georgia Bulldogs went over their game plan Friday for their Labor Day college football opener against Alabama. Coach Vince Dooley said the general review covered substitutions, situations and the kicking game. Dooley said he still intends to use redshirt freshman Wayne Johnson and freshman Joey Hester at quarterback against Alabama, although injured first-stringer James Jackson did participate in drills with the first unit. Dooley: \"As I said Thursday, the chances of James Jackson playing are better than we anticipated. The decision on whether or not he'll play is up to the doctors, James and me.\" Dooley also said that his other injured quarterback, Todd Williams, definitely will miss the Alabama game. Williams will undergo arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to check for possibile ligament damage in his knee. Dooley gave the Bulldogs the afternoon off, but the squad will conduct its final pre-Alabama review session tonight at Sanford Stadium. Monday night's game in Athens will be nationally televised by ABC.
