Overview
First of all, you don't take two R-rated franchises and make a PG- 13 movie. Second, I paid to see \"Alien vs. Predator,\" not another movie with humans fighting against the creatures. The plot was ridiculous and totally ignored the origins of the characters. Some of the fight scenes were OK, but with the dark picture and jerky camera work, it was hard to see much of anything. Come to think of it, maybe t [Veronica Dagher] says: \"AvP\" is not as bad as you think it's going to be. One billionaire's quest to find an ancient pyramid buried in Antarctica turns into the battle royal between two of the ugliest and juiciest villains of our time. The terror of one of the man- hunting monsters is replaced by a kinder beast that helps save the world. Although the flick is not as satisfying as the original \"Predator\" or as terrifying as the first \"Alien,\" it does a commendable job of combining the two classics. And who ever thought you'd hear humans cheering for a former villain?
