Landlord Klaus Dillmann said Durst and Black were often at odds over loud noises and frequently taunted each other. It's not clear why Durst, who apparently has homes in northern California, Connecticut and Manhattan, was living in a one-room efficiency in Galveston. The Durst family stated yesterday that the Durst Organization and family members had no contact with Durst immediately before or following his arrest. \"We were made aware of his arrest by the media,\" a spokesman said. \"Mr. Durst has not been involved with the Durst Organization for more than eight years.\"
