Overview
Because he used a firearm to commit the crime, Kyong Man Lee must serve at least five years before he becomes eligible for parole. He was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Joseph S. Conte in Hackensack. In his request for a lighter sentence, [Vincent Basile] asked Conte to consider Lee's cooperation with authorities and the fact that he had no criminal record prior to this arrest. He suggested a sentence in the 10- to 12-year range.
