Tiny Tim appears at the start with an ominous cough, but isnt used throughout as a symbolic reminder of the implications of Scrooges meanness. Claudia Kariukis Christmas Present carries a (literal) candy cane, with ruffles on her green dress like the layers of a Christmas tree, surrounded by a brigade of dancing baubles.
