Overview
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) wants to erect 600 pylons, each 212ft tall, bet-ween Beauly, Inverness-shire, and Denny, near [Stirling]. It argued that siting the larger, heavier pylons along the top of the Ochils, to the east of Stirling, go against guidelines set down to protect central Scotland. David Cockburn, representing the charity, asked Ms [Gillian Beauchamp]: \"Do you agree that the guidelines make it clear that the start of these hills needs protection from encroachment?\"
