Archie Cockburn . . . whose life was saved by the ICU team at Yorkhill . . . celebrates with a piece of the special cake made for the opening of the new unit intensive care unit nurse Edith Gracie and [Little Paige Lindsay], 3, who was the face of the Magic Million campaign Debbie Lindsay, Paige and [Carol Smillie] cut the ribbon to open the new intensive care unit, paid for in part by the generous readers of the Evening Times The state-of-the-art monitoring equipment . . . which the Magic Million appeal paid for . . . will ensure the best possible treatment for the Yorkhill youngsters Mum Eleanor, Jon and Abbie Keys. Abbie had heart surgery when she was five weeks old [David Cockburn] with wife [Fiona] and son Archie, who had a life-threatening heart condition. They raised 20,000 in our appeal Linda Donnelly . . . play specialist at the unit . . . looks around the new parent room. Some of the furniture was provided by Ikea, Glasgow Gordon and [Maureen Troy] with boys Ben, 4, and seven- year-old [Nicholas] who survived 10 heart operations at the old ICU Joy as we hit the target in December last year
