Overview
We got submissions from across the Jewish spectrum, from very secular Jews to a piece from an Orthodox rabbi, and from across sexual spectrum _ bi, transgender, gay, lesbian and everything in between. It's the first book that publishes the voices of transgender Jews alongside the voices of other Jews and makes them part of this movement. A: The job of Jewish education should be to create proud, well- identified Jewish kids. In order to do that, it has to meet the kids and the families in the places they're in. When a synagogue tells an interfaith couple that they don't belong at the school because one parent isn't Jewish, it's failing at Jewish education because it's denying the kid a Jewish education because of the parents.
