Overview
Anyone who witnessed Sir Alex Ferguson's celebrations after Cristiano Ronaldo scored Manchester United's second goal against Reading last Saturday at the Madejski Stadium will know what I'm talking about. When Ronaldo netted, Ferguson appeared to aim an 'up yours' gesture in the direction of the home support. Before I proceed, was the \"all I was doing was expressing my relief\" line (or perhaps those words in a different order) not the same as he used when caught driving up the hard shoulder to avoid the congestion of the motorway when desperately seeking a \"comfort break\" a few years back?
