Overview
The three main opposition parties in Wales are backing a Farmers' Union of Wales campaign for a fair return for dairy farmers. North Wales AMs Brynle Williams, Conservative, Eleanor Burnham, Liberal Democrat, and Anglesey's Ieuan Wyn Jones, Plaid Cymru, are among those signing a letter to the Office of Fair Trading condemning the constant downward pressure on dairy farm prices. Two years ago his farm took part in a 12-month Milk Protein Project run by the Dairy Development Centre at Coleg Gelli Aur, Carmarthenshire, in association with South Caernarfon Creameries and ADAS. The four farms are members of South Caernarfon Creameries and open events on the farms demonstrated practices to enhance protein levels in milk.
