New coordinator Tom Throckmorton spoke to a roomful of high school coaches about special teams, while former coordinator Russ Huesman sat in the back with old friends from the Tribe staff. SOON TO BE LOCALS. At least two of the All-Star players - Poquoson's Tammi Perok and Camrean Johnson of Tallwood - in Wednesday's Virginia High School Coaches Association softball game will attend Christopher Newport University next season. Perok, a second baseman, batted .438 with six doubles, seven triples and one home run. She posted 26 RBIs with a 70.5 on-base percentage and a 95 percent fielding accuracy. Perok is a three-time All-Bay Rivers District and two-time all-regional selection.
