Overview
\"I couldn't even tell you what multiple myeloma was at that time,\" said [Rob Bowman]. \"There was a whole educational process to it. [Marianne] kept saying, 'There has to be more awareness about this. Not just for me, but for others.'\" \"Marianne slipped into a seizure the next morning around 8:30 a. m.,\" said Rob. \"We called 911. She was on a gurney outside, eyes open, breathing, tears in her eyes. You kind of hope they go peacefully, she went with a little bit of a struggle, so she was still fighting,\" he added, as he started to get choked up. \"They took her to Henderson, where she was pronounced dead. She never stopped fighting... to her last day.\" \"The fact is Marianne's not here, that pain never goes away,\" he said. \"My 11-year-old son, Parker, said it best when he said, 'We're doing this for mom and for each other.' We want to show her and other people that they're not forgotten because they're gone. Marianne never quit at anything she did. Her fighting spirit will never be forgotten.\"
