Overview
[Ray Rodriguez] said he felt slighted during the meeting when Trustee Janice Schaefer suggested he was digressing from the topic at hand and President Nancy Thomas reacted by asking trustees to vote immediately on the budget. Board members unanimously approved a $53.6 million budget for the 2005-06 school year. Rodriguez complained that the board did not allow him to finish expressing his views on the Measure A fund. He added that he would not approve the shared purpose document because board members, by keeping excess money in the bank and not funding current needs, were not practicing what they preached.
