Overview
My friends and I would probably rate this book around nine out of 10. When I asked a Year 2 girl to tell me what she thought of it she said that it was very interesting and she would read other books about [Polly]. A Year 3 boy said it was a very descriptive book and thought it was sharp and to the point and liked how it was done in the form of a diary, complete with Polly's handwriting and spelling mistakes!! He also said that he could relate to how Polly felt because every child looks forward to their birthday all year and hates it when things go wrong. If it were my birthday I wouldn't want to be Polly!!!
