Overview
CHARLES Sturt Council will look at a new plan to compulsorily acquire Cheltenham Park racecourse, despite voting against a proposal to do so last night. Mr [Robert Grant]'s motion was not carried because of a lack of detail, but his suggestion inspired Councillor Anna Rau to foreshadow a future motion to research the technical, legal and financial aspects of buying the site. Mr Grant's motion came a day after the Land Management Corporation released three concept plans of how Cheltenham Park racecourse would look if re-zoned for residential development.
