Overview
Also, $200,000 is earmarked for general upgrades to Kensington, Burnaby Heights, Charles Rummel, Willingdon parks and Confederation Oval. The report found the BMBAC to be keeping with the Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area master plan and could be included with other established groups, such as the Stoney Creek Stream Keepers, Burnaby Mountain Preservation Society and other hiking, biking and naturalist groups, the report added. The BMBAC also plans to hold a meeting to discuss future sites for bicycle courses on Burnaby Mountain. After an evaluation of their recommendations, staff will outline possible design options and costs in a future report to the commission.
