Overview
\"They've never given a shred of evidence why ours should have been prohibited other than saying somebody might be offended by it,\" said John Ince. \"So it's a total and complete contradiction that they know this homophobic material is offensive to many, many people, not the least of which is their own employees, and they feel a right to do that. Yet a political pamphlet that celebrates sexuality is prohibited--that's perverse.\" Last Thursday, 60 postal workers at the Commercial Drive postal station refused to handle a booklet entitled The Prophetic Word and subtitled The Plague of This 21st Century: the Consequences of the Sin of Homosexuality (AIDS). The Fundamental Baptist Mission of Waterford, Ont. produced the 28-page booklet and Rev. Sterling Clark has been credited as its author. Photo: Dan Toulgoet, Vancouver Courier / Vancouver lawyer John Ince, who leads the Vancouver-based Sex Party, questions the latest Canada Post decision to deliver a religious pamphlet. Earlier this year, the corporation refused to deliver a \"sex-positive\" flyer put out by his party.
