Overview
I am reading ... James Joyce's Ulysses - universally acclaimed as a timeless modernist masterpiece - and I confess I'm finding it very hard going. This is the third time I've tried to read it; first two times I didn't even get past double figures. This time I'm up to page 465 - nearly halfway - and I'm still struggling to get into the groove. Maybe I should stick to Bill Bryson.
