Overview
Health care must change, but instead of raising taxes, let's spend taxpayer money more prudently. There should be no free rides if you are not paying into our health care plan. Insurance premiums are high because of abuse of the system and malpractice lawsuits. The American Medical Association must rid itself of incompetent physicians. Taxing us into bankruptcy isn't the answer. To the editor -- I am thoroughly disgusted with the decision not to fund Officer Chris Martinez' position in Union Gap. The Union Gap City Council's decision on this issue is simply unjustified. To the editor -- Wow! What wonderful news that the city of Yakima is rolling in the money. How else can one rationally explain Maureen Adkison and other council members voting to pay for Rick Ensey's legal fees?
