Overview
Most buyers were local, from Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, and many were first-time purchasers, as suggested by the price, she said. Pitt Meadows Mayor Don MacLean said the commercial village and other homes are planned for that location, south of Fraser Industrial Way and next to Bonson Road, and waiting for test results is the only holdup. MacLean said he talked to a few people who lined up for the sale. Some said they were buying because of the prices and some said they like Pitt Meadows and saw it as a safe community.
