Overview
Maloof is currently working on an art gallery that will be located on his estate; it will be named the Samuel and [Alfreda Maloof] Foundation for the Arts and Crafts. Maloof's wife, Beverly, said aside from being a furniture craftsman he is enthusiastic and sees beauty in everything. \"I kept admiring them and the man that owned them was head of the YMCA in Ontario. One day he said, 'You like those two pieces very much Sammy?' and I said, 'Oh I think they're great.' I didn't know anything about anything, I was 10 years old and he took them off the shelf and gave them to me and I still have them,\" Maloof said. \"I've never taken them anywhere to find out how much they were worth but it wasn't because I thought they were expensive, I just like them and I've never taken them to a dealer and asked what they were worth.\"
